Christmas Card Chaos

Ok so my mother came to me with a proposition. Design the family Christmas card. We haven't had a Christmas card for years but hey I was up for the challenge. Little did I know my mother wants the card similar is not exactly like the image she has thought up…to bad she uses some of her descriptive words with action noises. Nonetheless I think we have a winner.

1st Place
Well...kinda. She wants "more branches" which is fine, just hand cramping. With  a little color of blues, yellows and greens, this draft can actually come out spelling like a pine.

2nd Place
This took me about 10 min, and originally (if it was the one my mom wanted) I would have used a rainbow of colors

3rd Place
(A little crooked but it was a 1 min piece)

Following

YAY! I finally have a follower, granted its my dad, BUT, it is a follower. Now I feel a little less like I'm conversing with the big, vacuum, emptiness of space, but rather an audience. As a human, being a being, thats, for some of the part, something we ask for. An audience, someone to listen and feel heard. And though small, its still an audience.

Tattoo

Ok so my friend came to me the other say asking for a Guns and Roses tattoo. So here was my take on it.

ABOUT THIS BLOG AND I

I am a student set on art.
The majority of my art experience has a been doodling away and expressing a different side of me. At first art was a hobby, something to fiddle away my time, but over the last couple months that thinking has evaporated. I don't want to sit in a 5' by 8" cubical punching at numbers. I want to enjoy what I do, and what I really do enjoy is drawing.

I am a free spirit.
I, unlike most, don't have very much of a style in my art. But I do plan on creating that image. And over the course of the next 5 or so years, I will be focused on chipping away at what that image looks like. Its all a learning process, if it wasn't what would be the point of life? The road of the art scholar will be rocky, treacherous, littered with unforeseen obstacles, but I plan on moving forward, so without further ado, I present the first step in that journey.
